Beat Making & Writing the lyrics (Chorus)

Image
Beat Making I added the second half of the arrangement to the project. I have turn some of the instruments and choir down because its showing red in my peak level display. I have added a second bar to my chorus. I'm thinking about my bridge, bridge out and wether I want to have an outro or just end with the chorus. I am trying not to use too much default effects and taking out some to make the mixing process easier. I am hoping to make my project more organised because some of the same instruments are not place side by side.  Writing the Lyrics I finished writing my verse 1 and because I've added two bars to my chorus I'm figuring out my lyrics for that. I have made the decision to just have 3 verses for my song instead of 4. I am trying not to spend too much time figuring out the lyrics.

Beat making (Intro, Verse 1, Verse 2 and Chorus)

Beat Making (Intro, Verse 1, Verse 2 and Chorus)  In my intro, I've added Sunshine thru clouds (synth) for my fillers and foundation throughout the song. I took a loop and chose the suitable sounding cave water drops and cut it for my percussion using the scissors tool. I am still deciding wether to not use the same synth in the chorus and pre-chorus, and also using the cave water drops for my foundation or for my rhythm.  My verses I've added two cello sections and a stubby bass but only kept the stubby bass in my pre-chorus by looping each track. In my chorus, I added in the piano and strings for my foundation with two gospel vocal effects.  Update  I've taken out the crate digger in my pre-chorus because its a little off beat. I have also added an extra bar for my intro.

Beat making (Intro) and Writing the lyrics (Verse)

Making the beat (Intro) For the intro I've changed the drum beat and percussions to Dripping and Droplet Harp (Foundation) instead of using Crate Digger GB in my chorus. I have quantised the midis for each track because the first note of each track were a little out of place. I didn't want to add too many instruments in my intro  because I want it to focus on the hums (Lead). The beats matched with the chord progression. I am going to add my fills to my verse. Writing the lyrics (Verse 1) I have added new lyrics to my first verse and changed a few words. I am still struggling to find the correct words for the last sentence and trying not the make it a mouthful. I can make it better by finding the right words to rhyme.

Beat making & Writing the lyrics

Beat Making I've got an idea to add the vintage brassy bass in the chorus to fill up the space, Crate Digger GB will be my Foundation throughout the song and I've added in the authentic strings because i wanted some orchestra sounds in my foundation as well. I'm still searching for a synth for the foundation of the song to make it sound heavy because it feels like something is missing from the song.  Writing The Lyrics When writing it, I've already had an idea of the melody along with the pre-chorus and chorus From the start I wanted the song to be sad, the lyrics is about loving someone but you can't have them. Started working with the chord progression and wrote the pre chorus and chorus out.  My intro  and outro will have hums (vocals) and I've repeated the Pre-chorus but changed the last word of each sentence. My chorus will have "Ooos" (vocals) and for the time being I'm repeating the word Never. I'm now working on writing th...
