Beat Making & Writing the lyrics (Chorus)


Beat Making

I added the second half of the arrangement to the project. I have turn some of the instruments and choir down because its showing red in my peak level display. I have added a second bar to my chorus. I'm thinking about my bridge, bridge out and wether I want to have an outro or just end with the chorus. I am trying not to use too much default effects and taking out some to make the mixing process easier. I am hoping to make my project more organised because some of the same instruments are not place side by side. 

Writing the Lyrics

I finished writing my verse 1 and because I've added two bars to my chorus I'm figuring out my lyrics for that. I have made the decision to just have 3 verses for my song instead of 4. I am trying not to spend too much time figuring out the lyrics.

Mixing in general I started off by listening to the drums first and then I flexed the time on the tracks that are needed to be in time. After that I started placing the tracks into summing stacks because I can place plugins to tighten the sound on the stack itself in the later stage. I then add a gain plugin on all of the tracks with mono on. Gain settings on the instruments are -4.8  on the drums and strings, -8.2 on the guitars and -2.7 on the second lead vocals. After that, I added noise gate on some of the tracks (Except the bass, strings and midi) to get rid of some of the bleeds.
