Recording the vocals
Recording the vocals
I have tried recording in the studio but when I checked the audio file it had slight delay. I followed your advice by recording in another project by bouncing my file to make it to an audio file for less delay, and it worked. I also changed the buffer size to 32. I recorded my vocals with takes by looping each arrangement and then picked the best vocal. I recorded it in my home studio with a Blue Yeti condenser microphone and used the cardioid setting. I did not any reverbs, I will leave that in the mixing. My vocals consists of the lead and ad-libs. I am now trying to get the levels right so it does not peak so drastically.

You have a strong song. The production and mixing phase should take it to the next level.
ReplyDeleteWhen you loop record, you can create composite (comp) of the best parts from each take, you don't need to have one perfect take. Just drag the cursor to select the section of the take you want to use.
I'm not a huge fan of the Yeti, but for this project it's ok, since I didn't give you full run of the mic closet.
